Mountain Shadows is located in the scenic Melvin Village section of the town of Tuftonboro, nestled between the base of Mt. Shaw and about a mile from the shores of Lake Winnipesauke.  Mountain Shadows and Melvin village offer New Hampshire living at its best. Enjoy an evening walk as the cool breezes roll off the twilight lit mountains.

If you are up early watch for the deer and moose, a blue heron often fishes in the Great  Pond. For fishing and boating there are two marinas a mile away. Swimmers will enjoy the Melvin Village town wharf and beach. If you enjoy hiking, Castle in the Clouds and the Ossipee Mountain trails are only one mile away. Golf is available at Ridgewood in Moultonboro and Kingswood in Wolfeboro.  Mountain Shadows also has direct access to NH snowmobile trails.

Mountain Shadows 2005 expanded the existing 22 lot subdivision with 13 new home sites on 26 acres, 20 additional homes sites on 35 acres will follow in the next phase planned for the Spring of 2008. 25% of Mountain Shadows will remain as Open Space!
